To actually win it is a big deal, particularly in the first year of the award."
This was the first year the tattoo removal award was handed out at the national convention. One of the reasons for this is the fact that the procedure is only just becoming mainstream. "I had a very silly tattoo done once in a drunken stupor," says Tatiana Hanson. "While I can complain all I want about the tattoo 'artist' who did the tattoo, I was stuck with it. I didn't want to get a huge cover up either, because I'm only small myself. I'm so happy I was able to find someone to actually remove it. It only took three sessions as well, and I'm dead pleased with the result."
